I am an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist, licensed in Texas. I have more than 9 years of experience working as a speech therapist, with experience in diagnosis and treatment of speech and language disorders related to developmental delays, traumatic brain injury, autism, voice disorders, articulation disorders, aphasia, apraxia, fluency, accent modification, and spelling/reading/writing and language learning disorders. I have also enjoyed training parents to use strategies with their toddlers to improve speech-language development in the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) setting.
In addition to my experiences as a therapist and as a mother who raised 3 sons, I have had experience teaching in private and public schools from elementary through high school, and I worked in a special education classroom and assisted a deaf student with sign language support in school settings. I have worked with specialists in autism, helping to develop behavioral treatment plans and carrying them out, and collecting data. I have worked with clients with autism in homes, preschools, and in residential settings. I recently completed training in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).
