Do you provide teletherapy? And is it safe? and effective?
Yes, I do provide teletherapy via a secure, HIPAA compliant provider. The connection is secure. Teletherapy has been found to be effective for speech language therapy (see this link: https://www.ncbi.nim.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5546562/ ). I have also had positive feedback from families who are seeing progress through teletherapy.
Will I see you or another speech therapist or speech therapist assistant?
I am a solo practitioner and I will see each client personally.
Do you work with non-verbal children?
Yes. I assess each child and determine his or her communicative level, and I start therapy from the early stages of joint attention and gesture if needed. The goal is to help your child gain effective communication skills.
Do you work with adults?
Yes!
Do you have an office location?
Currently, I do not offer services at my office. I see clients via teletherapy, or in their homes, or in the community at other locations agreed on with a family.
Will services in my home be effective?
I have worked with clients and families in their homes for more than 11 years. I believe in the power of training families in strategies that they can apply with my clients during daily routines. These types of strategies improve language skills and functional ability in all routines.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, I accept payment by check, cash, or debit or credit card. I will give you a receipt in a form (a superbill) that you can turn in to your insurance company for reimbursement.
